Calis Beach is one of the best beaches in the area and is situated approximately 10 minutes' drive from the nearby port of Fethiye. Comprising of a long wide expanse of sand and shingle, the beach curves around the bay and the resort of Calis is little more than one beach road along which lies a number of hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops. During the hot summer days, the cool breeze blowing off the sea is welcome and refreshing. Calis is a romantic's paradise, for at night as the sun goes down one can take a long, peaceful stroll along the front and watch the glowing lights of Fethiye across the bay. Calis Beach is ideal for families and the safe bathing plus the addition of water sports in the high season make it great for fitness fanatics.
